DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) -- Fourteen flood victims on their way to pick up relief supplies drowned when their boat capsized in a southern Bangladesh river, police said today.

The boat sank Monday when it was rocked by strong winds on the Buragauranga River. Four people managed to swim ashore.

The passengers were traveling to a government-run relief center in Bhola town, 65 miles south of Dhaka, to collect rice and clothes.

Monsoon floods have battered Bangladesh for more than a month, killing at least 115 people. Nearly 6 million people have lost their homes and crops.
