Azerbaijan's Communications Ministry set up headquarters in regions suffered from floods

The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has set up a headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters in the region, caused by increased water levels in the Kur River, the ministry reported.

The ministry's emergency service working in the regions are in full readiness, the ministry said.

The ministry held a collegium to ensure stable operation of communications equipment in the regions affected by the disaster.

Minister Ali Abbasov gave certain guidance on the implementation of urgent measures to eliminate accidents in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's instructions.

Abbasov gave instructions to support the stability of transmission lines, infrastructure, wireless communications, as well as the implementation of proactive measures.
