At 31 October 2023, there were 987 people in immigration detention facilities.

Of the 987 people in immigration detention facilities, 910 (92.2 per cent) have a criminal history.

A further 285 people were living in the community after being approved for residence determination and 10,439 UMAs were living in the community after grant of a Bridging Visa E.
