- Due the severe weather, including heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, that has been affecting the Rio de la Plata region, in particular Buenos Aires Province over the past few days caused several incidents, the number of casualties is increasing.
- Media report, as of 20 December, at least 15 fatalities, of which 13 in Bahía Blanca City, approximately 600 km south of the Capital City Buenos Aires, and two more across the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. In addition, media also report dozens of injured people across the aforementioned province.
- Over the next 48 hours, more rainfall is forecast over southern and eastern Buenos Aires Province.
