- Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms have been affecting the Santa Fe province in north-eastern Argentina since 26 May, causing floods that resulted in evacuations and damage.
- As of 28 May, media reports one fatality and 23 injured people due to a flood-related incident, and 120 displaced people across three evacuation centres in Vera city of the southern Vera department. In addition, several classes have been suspended in the province.
- Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall is expected over north-eastern Argentina, drier conditions are forecast on 29 May over the whole country.
