Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms have been affecting the Santa Fe province in north-eastern Argentina since 26 May, causing floods that resulted in evacuations and damage.
As of 28 May, media reports one fatality and 23 injured people due to a flood-related incident, and 120 displaced people across three evacuation centres in Vera city of the southern Vera department. In addition, several classes have been suspended in the province.
Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rainfall is expected over north-eastern Argentina, drier conditions are forecast on 29 May over the whole country.
