1. A Tropical storm warning is in effect for the CDERA member states of Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis. A warning means that tropical storm force conditions will occur within 24 hours. A hurricane watch may be required for these islands late today.

2. Hurricane Watch remains in effect for the CDERA member state of the British Virigin Islands. A watch means that hurricane force conditions may occur within 36 hours.

3. Frances, a dangerous category three hurricane, was located, at 5 am, near 19.0 north and 57.3 west or 385 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands. Frances' forward speed has increased slightly to 10 mph and is expected to speed up later today. Hurricane hunter aircraft reported that wind speed has decreased to 120 mph but the National Hurricane Centre says the system is expected to strengthen in the next 24 hours.

4. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 85 miles from the centre while tropical storm force winds extend outward to 115 miles from the centre.
