Luena – United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) invested last year about 200 million kwanzas in social projects in Moxico Province, informed Tuesday, in Luena City, its representative, Julião Afonso.
Speaking at the Children Provincial Council, the official stated that the funds of his institution were invested in revitalizing health and nutrition services.
The purchase and distribution of medicine kits essential at municipal hospital of the referred locality, the financing of awareness campaigns on the use of iodized salt implemented by Red Cross Angola (CVA) were other actions organized by Unicef.
Unicef supported also the rehabilitation of water abstraction systems in the villages of Lucusse, Muxiriginge and Muapezo.
