Malanje - At least 135 traditional midwives in the municipalities of Quirima, Luquembo and Kabundi-Katembo, ended Friday in their regions seminars on training, treatment and recycling on primary health care for pregnant women, promoted by the national committee for the promotion of rural women.
The 45 trainees from each municipality will help reduce the high number of maternal deaths recorded in rural communities.
The 13-day seminars addressed matters related to the lives of the pregnant woman, the female and male genital tract, formation of the child, mother's relationship with the child, primary health care of pregnant women, hygiene and prenatal consultations.
