Over four million square metres of land cleaned in Kwanza-Sul

Sumbe - At least 4.737 square metres of land were cleaned in Kwanza-Sul Province, by the National Institute of Demining (INAD), throughout the year 2011, ANGOP has learnt.

This was said by the information official with the Inter-provincial Commission of Demining and Humanitarian Assistance in Kwanza-Sul, Jorge da Costa Pombo, while making a balance of the activities carried out this year.

The official also said that on the same period were also demined 96 kilometres of road, deactivated 157 anti-personnel landmines, seven anti-tank ones and seized 3.217 ammunitions and several explosive devices.
