Luanda – At least 3,200 people living with HIV/AIDS have been attended by the Divine Providence Hospital, since this service opened in 2003, ANGOP has learnt Friday.
According to the administrative director of the hospital located in Kilamba Kiaxi district, in Luanda, Kiare Justo, the patients benefit from home visits, medical care and medication.
She added that every day, the hospital attends over 100 people who go to seek medical assistance, advice and information on their serological condition.
Pregnant women are the most attended to, most of them suffering from HIV/AIDS.
For the proper care, the institution has the support of the National Institute to Combat HIV/AIDS in technical and material means.
The health authorities are planning to cover 60 percent of the population in need of antiretroviral therapy by 2015 and 50 percent coverage of infected children.
