Lubango – The government of the southern Huila province will invest this year AKz 1.5 billion in water system. The amount is funded by the Public Investment Programme (PIP), said Tuesday in Lubango, the director of Energy and Water, Abel da Costa.

Speaking to Angop on the perspectives of the sector for 2012, Abel da Costa said that the money will be earmarked for construction of projects of 2012.

According to him, the actions are intended to improve the water supplying system to Lubango city, as the project implemented by the Germany company "Galf" has only covered 60 km of extension of network, instead of 300 km.

The officials also spoke of the construction of other systems in new urban areas of Eywa and Nambambe.
