Namibe – At least 250.000 books will freely be handed over to primary schools in the South-West Namibe province by the Ministry of Education, Science and Tehcnology.
This was said to Angop on Thursday by the provincial director of Education, Science and Tehcnology Department, Pacheco Francisco.
According to him, the books are already in the province and they will start to be handed over by schools by next week.
Pacheco Francisco said that over 90.000 students were registered in the region and the sector has more than 5000 teachers.
The opening of the school year will take place on Tuesday in Bentiaba locality.
