Christian organisation invests USD 100.000 in food security Project

Lubango – The Christian Organisation of Support to Community Development (OCADEC) invested USD 100.000 in a project of community reintegration of the Khoisan “San group”, in the southern region of the country with stress to Cunene Province.

In a statement to ANGOP on Thursday, the executive coordinator of OCADEC, Benedito Quessongo, said that this amount being used since 2008 was sponsored by BP-Angola and associates of Bloco 18, aimed at guaranteeing food security and civil registration, as well as training of community leaders.

He added that this project, which lasted four years, began in 2008 and ends in June this year, benefiting 102 families, 64 from the San community and 40 from the Bantu community residing in the commune of Bantu-Oshimuholo Cafima, Kwanhama municipality in Cunene.

Benedict Quessongo stressed that the project consists of the distribution of cattle traction plough and seeds, also including the possibility of training community leaders and facilitating access to civil registration.
