Caxito/Nzeto road section gets demining intervention

Luanda – About 200 kilometres of the road section that connects Caxito District (Bengo Province) with Nzeto District (Zaire Province) are being demined by operators linked to the Executive Demining Commission.

These works are aimed at building a motorway that will facilitate the flow of people and goods in that national road, as revealed on Thursday by the engineering of the undertaking and director of the National Demining Institute (INAD), Leonardo Severino Sapalo.

Following a meeting held last Wednesday in Nzeto, also attended by officials from the National Roads Institute (INEA) and the Chinese building firm CRBC, the INAD director said that so far 58 kilometres of the referred road have been demined already.

“Our presence in Caxito/Nzeto road essentially aimed at assessing that section, (…) in the framework of the rehabilitation of the motorway”, said the INAD official.
