Ndalatando, 01/16 - Some 13 health units were rehabilitated in northern Kwanza Norte province during 2006/2007 biennium, as part of the provincial government programme aimed at extending health system to all localities and improving medical service to the population.
The local Health director, Manuel Duarte Varela, disclosed in Ndalatando city that among the activities carried out in this period includes the construction of nine other health infrastructures.
The official, who would not mention the financial amount used in the programme, cited the construction of new health centres in districts of Cazengo (provincial headquarters), Samba Caju, Bolongongo and Gonguembo.
The building of health centres in districts of Banga, in Zenza do Itombe locality (Cambambe district), the construction of houses to accommodate physicians in Quiculungo district are also part of the investment to benefit the health sector in Kwanza Norte.
