Angola/Bié: Over 200 former UNITA soldiers receive agriculture kits

Andulo, 07/27 Two hundred and ten former UNITA soldiers settled in Andulo district, 130 kilometres to the north of Kuito city, central Bié province, have received agriculture kits for the increase of the activity in the region.
Angop learnt on Tuesday, in Andulo, from the director of the Institute of Socio-Professional Reintegration of Former Combatants in Bié, Desira Cardoso, who did not reveal the donation date.

According to him, the beneficiaries have received 42 heads of cattle for ploughing, for preparing the land, 500 hoes, 41 ploughs, seeds, among other inputs important for agricultural development.

The Institue aims at reintegrating and support around 1,500 demobilised soldiers, from 210 were included in this first phase.

The agricultural equipment were financed by the World Bank, through General Programme of Demobilisation and Reintegration of Former Combatants in the province.
