Benguela, Chongoroi, 03/20 - About 5,575 children aged between zero and 15 will be vaccinated against measles at Chongoroi, some 156 kilometers southeast of Angola's central Benguela province.
The campaign taking place from April 21 to May 19 under support from United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) counts on the participation of 25 local activists that include traditional and religious officials.

The campaign will be divided in three stages: the first one for children at schools, nursery schools and orphanages in urban areas, the second for sanitary units and centers at the district, whereas the third will deal with the short coverage areas.

Chongoroi district authorities guarantee that material and logistic facilities have been created for the success of the campaign which also counts on the participation of community development officials and permanent officials of Angola's Armed Forces and National Police.
