Luanda, 10/31 - President Jose Eduardo
Dos Santos Thursday met the Executive Director of the World Food Program
(WFP), Mr. James Morris, with whom he discussed humanitarian aid-related
matters.
The two men also analyzed the problem
of AIDS and drought, among other concerns largely affecting the most vulnerable
populations.
After the meeting with President Dos Santos, Mr. Morris said WFP would continue assisting the population to make sure that these scourge stop creating victims.
He also said his organization still needs a lot of resources to make the all work continuous.
He reiterated that the UN intends to establish a partnership relation between international donors and the Government in the fight against the humanitarian crisis in Angola.
According to him, in this partnership everybody would participate in the best way.
Mr. Morris' agenda of visit, started today, also foresees meetings with officers in charge of humanitarian agencies and of the private sector. (Source: ANGOP)
