Angola: Over 7000 children vaccinated against measles

Uíge, 07/13 - About 7,372 children between nine months and 15 years old in Massau and Macolo communes, Milunga district, 300 km of Uíge city, have been immunised against measles from 01-10 July.

Addressing ANGOP today, the provincial supervisor of Uíge Vaccination Programme, Lucrécia Pedro, said that there has not been achieved the expected number of 7,648 children, due to the degradation state of the roads that give access to the commune of Massau and three other localities.

According to the official, there had been mobilised about 15 vaccinators and one supervisor, distributed in five teams of three employees each, who have been supported with several vehicles.
