Angola: EU Commission donates agricultural equipment

Luanda, 05/29 - The European Commission delegation in Angola will hand over this Tuesday in Luanda nine vehicles and thirty motorcycles to the Agrarian Development Institute (IDA), in the ambit of the food security re-launch programme which IDA has with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

This specific support will be channelled the southern provinces of Benguela and Huila.

According to a document from the European Commission in Angola, the objective of this aid is to improve the situation of food security, in the above mentioned provinces.

The food security re-launch programme is an initiative of co-operation between the European Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

This programme has a 10 million euros budget and an implementation period of five years (2006-2010).
