Luanda, 02/25 - Angola's Planning
Minister, Ana Dias Lourenço, on Tuesday considered the holding now of a
donors round table as fundamental to supporting the Angolan Government
in the national reconciliation process. The minister said, in an interview
to Angola's National Radio (RNA), that the planned conference will help
the Government speed up the national reconciliation process which includes
many tasks, such as resettlement and social reinsertion of ex-UNITA soldiers,
as well the displaced population. She stressed that the execution of social
character activities and the rehabilitation of infrastructures will be
the other important matters of the round table.
She assured the inexistence of problems
in the relationship between the Angolan Government and the International
Monetary Fund (IMF).
"What the IMF has been asking from the Angolan Government is the creation of a formal program," she said.
In her opinion, for the success of the donors conference, to be held in Brussels (Belgium), without any scheduled date so far, it is important to mobilize and to encourage the partners of Angola's Government, as well as the conclusion of some issues relating to the elaboration of the event's strategy and works in political, diplomatic and logistic sectors.
According to Ana Dias Lourenco, these tasks are being done by the World Bank (WB), the IMF and the Angolan Government.
Ana Lourenço who is also the president of SADC Cabinet Council said that the objectives of Angola on the head of the organization are to secure and guarantee the peace in the region, as well as the resolutions of internal conflicts.
