Angola: Demining Commission debates action programme to secure safe elections

Luanda, 07/11 - The presentation, analysis and discussion of immediate plans of provinces and the programme of demining to secure a safe 2006 electoral process will top agenda for the 2nd extraordinary plenary session of the National Inter-Sectorial Commission of Demining and Humanitarian Assistence (CNIDAH), set for Thursday, in Luanda.

The debate will focus on the creation of conditions for secure movement of brigades of electoral registry and voters, as well as all the means to be involved in the process, Angop learnt today from a CNIDAH note.

Members and partners involved in solving problems of mines and other explosive devices in the country are to attend the meeting, set to take place in the conference hall of the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry.
