Angola: "Caritas" to resettle 13,000 war displaced people

Lubango, 01/13 - Some 13,800 war displaced people will be resettled in several districts of southern Huila province this year by Angola's Catholic church-related organization "Caritas," Angop learnt on Monday.

"Caritas" Provincial Director, Mrs. Amelia Ojanguren, said that 7,000 will be resettled in Caluquembe, 3,000 in Cacula, the same number in Quilengues and the remaining ones in Chicomba.

She also said that the displaced people will be given seeds, fertilizers, cattle and farming kits for their productive reinsertion.

The projects, which will have the support of counterpart organizations from Ireland, Australia and England, also include the building of schools, health centers and drinkable water supply networks.
