Lubango, 04/09 - About 100,000 heads
of bovine cattle might be vaccinated this year against carbuncle, nodular
dermatitis and contageouse peripneumonia Angop has learnt on Friday.
The animals will be vaccinated by the
Chibia Municipal Department of Veterinary Office, 42 kilometres off Lubango
city, in the Southern Huila.
According to the chief of the mentioned department, Augusto Carlos Sabalo, the number may increase as long as the vaccination stock be reinforced to avoid breakdown in the process.
At least 19 veterinarians are mobilized for this task. Chibia District has about 182,000 heads of cattle.
