Kuito, 02/25 - Angolan central government
has already put aside some 14 million US Dollars for the execution of a
project for reconstruction of war-destroyed Kuito city in Bie province,
said on Tuesday the local planning and statistics head officer, Afonso
Georje Assafe.
The Standing Commission of the Cabinet
Council approved in October 2002, in Kuito, a minimum reconstruction project
of this city, estimated at 41.03 million Dollars.
The amount already advanced will cover the first phase of the plan which is rehabilitating social and economic infrastructures.
Some 20 firms have already registered for the project tender expected in March this year. (Source: ANGOP)
