Albania: Multilateral contribution, 11 Jan 2010
Rome January 11, 2010 "The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Directorate General for Cooperation
and Development has contributed with an emergency transport direct to Albania
in response to urgent humanitarian assistance for the population stricken
by the floods.
The overall "in-kind contribution" is of 255.000 euro.
Relief items will be transported from the United Nations Logistic Base in Brindisi, Italy, during this week for subsequent distribution to the population residing in Lezhe (Alessio), are some of 168 metric tons and include kitchen set (500), blankets (4400), jerry can (2300), generator diesel (15), water tank (12), water pump (8), boat (6), tents (87), high energy biscuits (7.8 tons).
