(A) Highlights

(a) Clashes between various ethnic groups in Ituri district, DR Congo disrupted the implementation of humanitarian activities.

(b) In Ethiopia, the nutritional screening undertaken in May 2006 detected several cases of severe acute malnutrition.

(c) Since the beginning of 2006, over 10,000 new arrivals were registered in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps in Kenya.

(d) In Indonesia, WFP provided 7,515 tons of food to at least 1,723,940 beneficiaries in the month of May.

(e) Since 29 May, WFP has delivered a total of 236 tons of food to 82,546 beneficiaries in Timor Leste.
