This snapshot presents findings from the tenth round of the Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) Working Group and the Humanitarian Access Working Group (HAWG) survey on operational trends following the 24 December 2022 ban on Afghan women working for international and national NGOs (I/NGOs), and its extension to the United Nations on 4 April 2023.This round included additional questions on the impact of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Law promulgated by the de facto Ministry of Justice on 21 August 2024 as well as additional questions on partners’ approaches to enable the participation of women staff. Responses to round ten were collected during the period 26 November to 5 December 2024. The below findings reflect responses from 126 respondent organizations, including national NGOs (NNGOs), international NGOs (INGOs), civil society organizations (CSOs) and UN agencies, delivering assistance under both the humanitarian and basic human needs sectors.
