SCA constructed new health clinic in Samangan

With construction of a Comprehensive Health Clinic (CHC) by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan in Sar-Bagh district of Samangan province, people of the area will no longer take their patients to the city for medical treatment, as they will have all necessary health facilities available at their doorsteps.

The new health clinic with all necessary facilities is constructed with a cost of eight million Afghanis funded by European Union. Population of 52 villages of Sar-Bagh district will benefit by this clinic.

Deputy Governor of Samangan province Akhtar Mohammad Khairzada while appreciating SCA for the construction of health clinic said “this health clinic would resolve the issues related to health of local community.”

District governor of Sar-Bagh Abdul Hafiz also addressed the inauguration ceremony and stated that Sar-Bagh people will no longer take their patients to the city. He said “this health clinic probably is a big gift from SCA for the people.”

The newly constructed health clinic building was formally inaugurated by high authorities of Samangan province during a ceremony.

Deputy Governor of Samangan province, district governor of Sar-Bagh district, officials of provincial health department, local elders and SCA provincial staff attended the inauguration ceremony.
