Necessary Facilities for 6,296 Rural Households

The 37 sub projects completed in 32 villages of Zinda Jan district of Herat province will enable approximately 6,296 rural families to have access to basic services.

The inauguration ceremony for the projects was attended by provincial governor, Mohammad Asif Rahimi, local authorities, representatives of provincial council and residents of Zinda Jan district.

According to Aqa Mohammad Sediqi, Provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development Director these projects include the construction of 20 community centers, seven water supply networks, repairing and construction of irrigation canals, retaining walls and culverts.

The projects have been completed through the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) at a cost of AFN 73 million and 745 thousand. The communities have also given a 10% contribution towards the finalization of these projects.
