MoPH, DCDA Sign Agreement on Providing Health Services in Kabul New City

An Interface Agreement was signed between Dehsabz – Barikab City Development Authority (DCDA) and Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in presence of Mohammad Yusuf Pashtun, Senior Advisor to Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Caretaker of the Independent Board of Kabul New City.

Mr. Pashtun termed implementation of Kabul New City (KNC) a unique approach in the history of the country and called coordination of interfaces among relevant agencies a remarkable step while planning and implementation of Kabul New City Master Plan.

SimilarlyDr. Suraya Dalil Minister of Public Health indicated the importance behind signing such interface agreements among relevant agencies. She further added that the Kabul New City as a mega national project shall ensure economic sustainability in the country while providing quality services in respect to health to its residents. She further called the urgent need for development of a standard and modern city and vowed the ministry’s long term support towards implementation of project.

Consequently, Dipl. Eng. Gholam Sachi Hassanzadah CEO of Dehsabz – Barikab City Development Authority updated the participants over the implementation and progress of Kabul New city, contracts signed for development of Parcels 2.1, 2.2, 2.6, P2.8 and Phase One’s proceeding contracts to be signed with private sector developers in near future. He further added that the interface agreement defines the roles and responsibilities between the two organizations, avoid duplications of efforts and controls any gap while implementation of Kabul New City Master Plan.

As per the agreement, the MOPH shall assist development of major Health Clinics and Hospitals. It is worth mentioning that the interface agreement was signed by H.E. Suraya Dalil, Minister of Public Health, Dipl. Eng. Gholam Sachi Hassanzadah and was endorsed by H.E. Hedayat Amin Arsala, Senior Minister to IRA and Chairman of Independent Board of Kabul New City Development.
