Japan’s Emergency Assistance to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the Landslides disaster

Related to the article on 4th May, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has dispatched emergency relief supplies to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan

Emergency goods to the value of 11 million JPY – including (tents, blankets, sleeping pads)– were dispatched and arrived at Kabul International Airport , the capital city of the country, in the morning of 7th May.

A handover ceremony of the emergency supplies took place at the Kabul International Airport at 14:00 (local time) on the May 7.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) will support Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ADNMA) on carriage of the goods from Kabul to disaster-stricken area in Badakhshan.
