Iranian Red Crescent – 40 tons of the Relief Consignment in favor of the Afghanistan Affected People

A large number of the Afghan population has been affected as of the recent flooding and mudslide in Badakhashan region, located in North-East of Afghanistan.

“The humanitarian relief consignment of the Iranian Red Crescent Society weighing 40 tons contains relief tents, blankets, kitchen sets, canned food, rice and cereals, dispatched on 5th May 2014 for meeting the needs of the land slide stricken people and improve the lives of the affected people” said Dr. Seyed Ahmad Moussavi, Secretary General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society

Furthermore, he announced the IRCS preparedness for dispatching the relief teams to the disaster affected areas in Afghanistan.
