Natural disaster Assessment and Response Update:
Per the initial report obtain from ANDMA; 40 families were affected and displaced by river overflow in Chenaran village of Obe district on 01 July. A joint assessment team consisting of IOM, DACAAR, WFP and ANDMA conducted assessment and identified 21 families eligible for humanitarian assistance on 20 July of which 10 families were displaced to provincial center. IOM distributed cash for NFIs, DRC distributed cash for food and DACAAR will cover wash needs.
In an incident reported by ANDMA,; 70 families were affected by flood in Jabal Saraj, Salang, Bagram and Charikar district on 14 July 2020. A joint assessment team consisting of IOM, ANDMA, DRC, DACCAR and WFP initiated the assessment and identified 36 families in need of humanitarian assistance. IOM distributed cash for NFIs and ES, WFP distributed food items and DACCAR covered hygiene needs.
As per the initial report from ANDMA; 100 families are affected by flood in Yakawlang, Saighan, Shebar and provincial center on 14 July. A joint team consisting of IOM, DRC and ANDMA conducted assessment on 18 July and identified 38 families eligible for humanitarian assistance. IOM distributed cash for NFIs and ES and DRC will distribute cash for food items.
As per the initial reported obtain from ANDMA, 22 families were affected by heavy rainfall in Sarkanow, Chapa Dara, Shigal and Shultan districts 25 July. Two teams consisting of ANDMA, WFP ARCs and DACAAR conducted the assessment and identified 10 families eligible for humanitarian assistance. ANDMA and ARCs will distribute NFIs and WFP will cover food needs.
As per the initial report from ANDMA; 131 families were affected by flood in Matoon and Mandozai districts on 08 July. A joint team consisting of IOM, ANDMA, IRC, DAIL, ARCs and DACCAR conducted the assessment on 10 July and identified 42 families in need of humanitarian assistance. IOM distributed cash for NFIs and ES, IRC distributed cash for food to 11 families and ANDMA covered food need of the remaining families, DACCAR will distribute Hygiene kits.
As per the initial report obtained from ANDMA , 184 families were affected by heavy rainfall in TOORY, Shah Mansour and SOULA villages of Tarin Kot city. Two joint team consisting of WFP, ANDMA, UNHCR, HAPA and DoRR conduct assessment and identified 128 families eligible for humanitarian assistance. WFP provided Food items while NFIF and ES remained a gap. IOM conducted reassessment of the displaced families on 23 July and identified 117 families displaced and eligible for humanitarian assistance that followed distribution of cash for NFIs by IOM on 26 July.
