Implementation of Uplift Projects in Khost

At a cost of 93 million and 495 thousand Afs – funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NSP/MRRD) 59 public utility projects were recently completed and handed-over in various villages of Zazi Maidan, Tani, Mandozayi, Bak, Nadir Shah Kot, Musakhel, Gurbuz and Tirazayi districts of Khost province.

These projects include the construction and gravelling of rural road more than eleven-km in length, construction of irrigation canal 5380 meters in length, protection wall 2693 meters in length, retaining wall 2395 meters in length, pathways 1946 meters in length, extension of water supply network 6730 meters in length, construction of water intakes, 25 culverts, four community centers and excavation of 28 safe drinking water wells.

Approximately, 12,119 rural households have gained access to necessary facilities upon the completion of these projects.
