Nov 16 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0530 GMT on Sunday.

*HERAT - Two U.S. soldiers were wounded in a suicide car-bomb attack on their convoy in the western city of Herat, a U.S. military spokesman said.

KABUL - A soldier with NATO's Afghan force was killed in a bomb blast while on patrol in the south on Saturday, the force said. It did not give the nationality of the casualty.

PAKTIA - U.S.-led forces captured a "significant al Qaeda associated militant", killed five and captured another eight militants during an operation on Saturday in Paktia province, on the Pakistani border, the U.S. military said.
