Assessment Finding and Recommendation in brief:
Screening Committee members has referred a list of 68 IDP families through UNOCHA for further needs assessment. These IDP families displaced to Kabul from insecure districts of Samangan, Kapisa, Laghman, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Faryab, Logar and Baghlan Provinces.
Joint Assessment Teams of above mentioned agencies conducted assessment from 03 to 07 December 2017, and out 68 reported IDPs identified 29 IDP families eligible for urgent humanitarian assistance.
The remaining families were protracted IDPs. split families, not found/relocated or have already received humanitarian assistance recently.
Priority needs of identified IDP families as reflected in HEAT database and direct observation of assessment teams are as below:
NFI (kitchen kit, bedding items and cooking items, fuel).
WASH (hygiene kit).
Based on coordinated response agreed at OCT/screening committee Care International will Cover NFIs need.
DRC will provide 26000 AFN as MPCA for the remaining needs to all 29 IDP families.
WASH need will be addressed by DACAAR.
