2. Assessment Finding and Recommendation in brief:

Ghazni DoRR shared us a list of 447 IDP household through UNOCHA for Assessment and humanitarian response, DRC officially coordinated with other DoRR, WSTA, DACAAR, CTG. Joint assessment carried out by the above mentioned Organizations from 5th to 11 November 2018, in result, totally 49 HHs identified eligible who displaced in the past three months due to conflict and security threats in their place of origins and the rejected Households were protracted IDPs. On 11th November 2018, Taliban attacked on Malistan district as well as Angori and Hutqul areas of Jaghori districts Massive civilian displaced to Ghazni city, Bamyan and Kabul. Ghazni DoRR reported of 600 IDP households displaced from Malistan and Jaghori districts on 11 and 12 November 2018, then Taliban blocked Jaghori- Ghazni road and not allowed the people to Ghazni city after that the people (around 400 HH) headed to Bamyan and some other families in Jaghori and Malistan tried to leave the area but due to high transportation cost they could not move to other locations. The above assessment teams have been worked on the second reported (600 HHs) list and 43 out of 151 HHs found eligible for urgent humanitarian assistance. Totally 92 Households identified out of 598 HHs (86 HH are in CAT-A, 4 HHs in Cat-B and 2 HHs are in Cat-C) Three priority needs identified as:

  • Food.

  • NFI (kitchen kit, cooking items, bedding items and winterization).

  • Cash Response Plan:

  • RRD distributed only blankets for the families live in mosques and university Hostel, drinking water and electricity provides by municipality and ANDMA provide cooked food for short time.

  • DRC committed to provide MPCA (Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance) to all families. The proposed package is based on SMEB (Survival Minimum Expenditure Basket) which cover expenditures of basic items for two months’ period.

  • DACAAR committed to address identified WASH needs
