HIGHLIGHTS
- During this reporting period, DTM teams have observed an increase of two per cent in returns compared to the last two weeks of October 2024.
- Cumulatively, from 15 September 2023, 770,964 individuals have returned to Afghanistan. Thirty-six per cent (280,073 individuals) of this total have returned since 1 January 2024.
- Most of the returnees are undocumented Afghans (89%), followed by PoR holders (10%) and ACC holders (1%).
- Economic reasons, such as the inability to pay rent (60%) and utilities (46%) continue to grow in significance, while fear of arrest (56%) remains steady compared to previous reporting periods.
