Out of a total of 328,930consultations (141,844 male, 187,086 female) recorded in Week-49 of 2013, 32.5 % or 106,839 (51,139 male, 55,700 female) consultations were reported due to DEWS target diseases.

Main causes of consultations this week were Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) (27.7%) and Acute Diarrheal Diseases (ADD) (7%) from total clients in a continuing trend from the week before.

59 (34 male, 25 female) deaths resulted from Pneumonia, Diarrheal Diseases and Meningitis/Severely Ill Children, which includes 41 deaths (24 male, 17 female) caused by Pneumonia, 7 deaths (5 male, 2 female) caused by Diarrheal Diseases and 11 deaths (5 male, 6 female) caused by Meningitis/Severely Ill Children.
