Out of a total of 302,810 consultations (131,894 male, 170,916 female) recorded in Week-45 of 2013, 32 % or 96,861 (46,674 male, 50,187 female) consultations were reported due to DEWS target diseases.

Main causes of consultations this week were Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) (25%) and Acute Diarrheal Diseases (ADD) (9%) from total clients in a continuing trend from the week before.

42 (21 male, 21 female) deaths resulted from Pneumonia, Diarrheal Diseases and Meningitis/Severely Ill Children, which includes 27 deaths (13 male, 14 female) caused by Pneumonia, 6 deaths (3 male, 3 female) caused by Diarrheal Diseases and 9 deaths (5 male, 4 female) caused by Meningitis/Severely Ill Children.
