Out of a total of 391,935 new consultations (168,606 male, 223,329 female) this week, 38.1% or 149,190 (74,903 male, 74,287 female) consultations were reported due to DEWS targeted diseases.

Main causes of consultations in this week were Acute Diarrheal Diseases, 22,870 cases (5.9% out of total new consultations) and Pneumonia, 19,882 cases (5.1% out of total new consultations).

A total of 206 deaths were reported this week, of which 58 were due to DEWS targeted diseases, which includes 42 Pneumonia deaths, 8 Meningitis/SIC deaths, 4 Measles deaths, 3 Acute Viral Hepatitis deaths and 1 diarrheal diseases death.

Total of 13 outbreaks reported this week, of which 9 were suspected Measles outbreaks reported from Paktya, Paktika, Helmand, Nimroz, Nangarhar and Hirat provinces, a suspected Rabies/dog bites outbreak reported from Paktika province, a suspected Pneumonia outbreaks reported from Nuristan province, a suspected Food poisoning outbreak reported from Parwan province and a suspected Viral Hepatitis outbreak reported from Laghman province.
