The construction work of 191 development projects completed in Kunduz province

These projects comprise the construction of 158 kilometers road, construction of 1275 bridge and culverts, 559 water wells, establishment of tailoring courses and distribution of 700 tailoring machines establishment of 60 literacy courses, ten rug weaving centers, one suspension bridge, construction of two; 8 and 16 class-room schools and digging of water reservoirs at a cost of AFN 246 million and 311 thousand from the budget of Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) in various villages of Chahar Dara, Ali Abad, Khan Abad, Qal-e-Zal, Dasht-e-Archi and Imam Sahib districts and in the vicinity of Kunduz city. These projects have paved the way for 117,515 rural families to access to basic human needs.

Of these projects 165 projects have been completed through the National Solidarity Program (NSP) of the MRRD and the rest are completed through other national programs of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).

According to another news with the completion of a water supply network in Ali Abad district of Balkh province, 750 rural families have gain access to safe drinking water.

The mentioned water supply network contains one deep drinking water well, 14000 meters long two water storages with a capacity of 60 thousand liters and the installation of generator and hand pump with a capacity of 20 Kilowatts. The work of the project has been completed in one year.
