Attachments

Introduction

In this second edition of Community Insights on the US Funding Suspension, we learned from 2,276 individuals who shared their views and perceptions on the impacts of the US funding suspension in their communities. The respondents comprise 58.5 per cent women, 40.7 per cent men, and 0.8 per cent individuals who preferred not to say their gender. Communities engaged through phone calls on the Awaaz helpline, face-to-face communication through the UNFPA-led Youth Network, key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs). This second edition is also complemented by REACH's Humanitarian Situation Monitoring data related to the US funding suspension's impact on communities.

Following key recommendations from the first edition, the Inter-Cluster Coordination Team (ICCT), through the support of the Accountability to Affected People (AAP) Working Group, established collective messages for communities to provide updates on the initial impacts on various humanitarian assistance as of March 2025. The collective messages are being communicated with communities by humanitarian partners. Feedback and concerns from this collective community engagement effort will be shared in the next edition.
