Child Protection (CP) actors in Afghanistan reached 610,309 distinct beneficiaries who include (boys: 130,944 & girls: 106,726) with CP services in May 2024. This includes 22,762 beneficiaries who received structured PSS out of which 339 were referred for specialized psychosocial and mental health support services. 3,385 unaccompanied/separated minors and children facing other protection risks received case management and reintegration services, while 307,376 children/adolescents/men & women were sensitized on child protection issues. Furthermore, 5,878 humanitarian workers including social workers & community volunteers were trained on Child Protection support services. 270,225 individuals were reached by messaging on Child Protection through with mass media such Radio, TV, WhatsApp etc.
