Child Protection (CP) actors in the Afghanistan reached 135,180 distinct beneficiaries who include (boys: 49,509 & girls: 39,353) with CP services in February 2024. This includes 12,396 beneficiaries who received structed PSS out of which 1,042 were referred for specialized psychosocial and mental health support services. 9,431 unaccompanied/separated minors and children facing other protection risks received case management and reintegration services, while 106, 355 children/adolescents/men & women were sensitized on child protection issues.
Furthermore, 759 humanitarian workers including social workers & community volunteers were trained on Child Protection support services. 3,134 individuals were reached with mass media messaging on Child Protection out of which a significant portion of these beneficiaries have also benefitted from other services listed above. As such, the overall reach of 135,180 are the distinct beneficiaries reached without double-counting.
FUNDING: By February, CP AoR HRP funding requirements is 53% funded, even though only UN and 4 NGOs have reported their funding data by then.
