2. Context
On beginning of November 2020 due to ongoing clashes between ANSF and AOGs across the Northeast, hundreds of people were displaced from different districts of Takhar province. AOGs have increased their attacks to military bases in order to expand their operational areas. Hence hundreds of families have been displaced from above mentioned locations to Taloqan city as a safe location for being remained alive. The alert was raised by OCHA on 20January 2021. The OCT meeting was held on 20January 2021in order to update partners about the ongoing crisis, the deployed three Joint Assessment Teams (JATs) formed by ACTED, IDS/WFP, DACAAR, CONCERN WW and local DoRR continued to conduct the assessment under caseload D-117, The assessment conducted between 25 January – 27 January 2021and a total of 145 households have been visited and 22 households were identified as potentially eligible to receive humanitarian assistance. Based on OCHA’s field coordination, it was agreed that WFP will cover the need for two months’ food, NFI will be covered by ES/NFI cluster to entire caseload, while DACAAR will provide WASH package for 22 households ERM eligible families.
