The U.S. Government's full termination order in February 2025 halted activities of many humanitarian health partners in Afghanistan. This has significantly undermined access to essential healthcare services, particularly for vulnerable populations. With the limited remaining facilities facing increased pressure to meet growing demands, the Health Cluster is mapping the impact of the termination order for identifying service gaps and informing response strategies each week. The number of closed or suspended health facilities will vary on weekly basis depending on funds available to humanitarian partners. The Health Cluster calls on donors to help reinstate critical healthcare services and prevent further deterioration of the situation by providing alternative funds.
