As of 31 May, humanitarian partners have reached 4.9 million people affected by drought. Of those reached, 450,600 people are in places of displacement, while the remainder are in drought-affected rural areas. In some drought-affected provinces, insecurity and other access challenges have prevented humanitarian partners from delivering relief items and basic services to those in need.
