KABUL, Afghanistan - Insurgents killed a civilian and wounded 12 others, five of whom were children, when they detonated a car bomb next to an ISAF patrol Nov. 16 in Baghlan province.
In the attack, three ISAF soldiers were injured.
"I offer heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured by the blast," said Brigadier General Richard Blanchette, ISAF spokesperson. "If the insurgents intended to kill ISAF troops, they failed. They only succeeded in showing their utter disregard for the lives of the Afghan people through this heartless act."
